Paul Robeson High School is accredited by the North Central Association of Colleges and Schools, and meets all graduation requirements set forth by the State of Illinois and the City of Chicago Public Schools.

Robeson High School Requirements by Subject Area Units
English: English I, II, III, IV 4 credits
Social Studies: World History, United States History, elective 3 credits
Science: Biology, Environmental Sciences, Chemistry or Physics 3 credits
Mathematics: Algebra, Geometry, Advanced Algebra/Trigonometry 3 credits
World Language: Spanish or German 2 credits
Fine Arts: Art, Music or Band 2 credits
Career Education: electives 2 credits
Physical Education: includes 20 weeks of Health in PE I;
includes 10 weeks of Driver Education in PE II
2 credits
Other Electives 3 credits
Total Carnegie Units 24 credits
Service Learning 40 hours
Student Advisory 4 years
Non-credit units: Public law 195 Test (US and
Illinois Constitution); SB 977 Consumer Education Unit

Promotion Credit Requirements

9th Grade to 10th Grade 5 Credits
10th Grade to 11th Grade 11 Credits
11th Grade to 12th Grade 17 Credits
